Guided walks, lake tours, historic site tours, campfire programs, hay rides, storytelling, living history, and workshops are just some of the types of Arkansas activities offered year-round.

Winter Programs and Activities
Bull Shoals-White River State Park
Winter is a wonderful time to visit Bull Shoals-White River State Park! Schedule an interpretive program for your school group, scout group, civic group or special interest group. The James A. Gaston visitor center offers a state of the art theater, classrooms with the latest technology in digital and overhead projection, and an exhibit hall depicting the historical, cultural and natural resources of the White River and the Ozarks. Four multi-use trails, an amphitheater, two pavilions, camping facilities, plus lake and river cruises are available. Interpretive services may be scheduled for out-of-park programming at your school or facility. Contact the park for a detailed list of interpretive programs or to speak directly with a park interpreter.

Exhibit: Mystery of the Mayan Medallion
Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources
Test your knowledge and skill as you attempt to solve the mystery of the jade medallion. This unusual exhibit is a stylized version of an ancient Mayan ruin located in a Mexican rainforest.

Take a guided tour and learn about the life of the Late Missippian Period Native Americans who inhabited Mississippi County, Arkansas from 1400-1650 A.D.
