Arkansas Lake Tours

Arkansas lake tours

Looking for lakes in Arkansas where boat tours are offered? Several parks offer interpreter-led Arkansas lake tours.

Lake Chicot State Park offers a unique look at Arkansas's largest natural lake and the cypress swamp-like habitat of egrets, herons, eagles, ibis and the endangered wood stork. Lake Chicot, in southeast Arkansas, is one of the state's birding hotspots and the nationally acclaimed Levee Tour (auto) and the swamp tours are excellent ways to add excitement to your vacation and birds (and alligator, mink, deer and armadillo) to your life list.

Lake Ouachita State Park, in the heart of the Ouachita Mountains, has become famous for cruises on Arkansas's largest lake. The cruise is a relaxing way to see the exposed results of the severe folding and faulting which created these beautiful mountains.

DeGray Lake Resort State Park offers perhaps the most unique way to view a spectacular sunset—on the "DeGray Steak-Out." Join this boat tour to enjoy a steak dinner on an island as the sun sets across 13,800-acre DeGray Lake.

Arkansas lake tours are also offered at Daisy, Millwood, Moro Bay, Lake Dardanelle, Lake Catherine, Lake Charles, Lake Fort Smith, and Bull Shoals-White River state parks. Check out the Watchable Wildlife page for scheduled wildlife watching and winter eagle watching tours. Special tours can be arranged for groups.
